Long, glossy greeen leaves with irregular creamy-white markings and vivid pink-red underside which give an eye-catching effect. Large leaves mean this is an excellent air purifying plant.

Light: Plenty of indirect, bright light. Can tolerate some shade, but colour may fade. Keep above 15°c, and away from drafts

Water: Keep soil damp at all times, but not soggy. Water little and often, and allow excess water to drain

Soil/Nutrition: Well-draining houseplant potting mix, feed monthly in spring and summer

Humidity: Thrives in high humidity, so mist regularly, or place on a pebble tray to increase humidity. Also an ideal bathroom plant

Pruning and propagation: Remove old, faded leaves and keep mature leaves dust free by wiping with a damp cloth. Propagate via root divisions in spring and summer
