Senecio mikanioides

Senecio mikanioides is a hanging plant that you will keep looking at. The top of the leaf shows an ornate pattern of all kinds of shades of green. The bottom has a deep purple hue. There are all kinds of different types of Senecios. Most famous is the Senecio rowleyanus, or the Pea plant. The Senecio mikanioides, on the other hand, is less well-known and very rare. This, in combination with its striking looks, makes this Senecio the perfect addition to any quirky interior. Moreover, you hardly have to worry about it. As a succulent plant, the Senecio is very easy to care for.

Do not water the Senecio mikanioides until the compost has dried out. Rather too little than too much water.

The location makes little difference. Shade, light or moderately sunny: the Senecio finds it all fine.
